Terms & Email Policy
The short version: We collect your email and the username you pick. No real names. We use your email to send UFCR updates, meeting reminders, and product news. You can opt out anytime from your profile, or delete your account entirely.
1. What we collect
When you create an account in the UFCR Arcade we store:
- Your email address, used to sign you in and to contact you per Section 3.
- A username of your choosing (3–24 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores). This is the only public identifier other players see.
- Your gameplay data: high scores, level progress, unlocked characters and cars, meeting RSVPs, and similar information tied to the games you play in the Arcade.
- Standard authentication metadata managed by our backend provider (Supabase), including a hashed password and the timestamps of your sign-in events.
We do not ask for or store your real name, mailing address, phone number, payment information, or government identifiers in the Arcade account system.
2. How we use your account data
- To authenticate you and load your saved progress across devices.
- To display your username on leaderboards, your unlocks in your profile, and your RSVPs on the meeting board.
- To grant exclusive characters, levels, and other in-game rewards when you attend UFCR meetings and events.
- To contact you per Section 3.
3. Email contact
By creating an account you agree we may email you at the address you provided for the following purposes:
- Product updates — new games, new levels, new features, bug fix announcements.
- Meeting reminders — upcoming UFCR meetings and events, especially ones you've RSVP'd to.
- UFCR announcements — chapter news, campaigns, and major organizational updates.
- Account & security — password resets, sign-in confirmations, and other transactional messages.
We will not sell or rent your email address. We will not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Your opt-out rights
You may opt out of any category of non-transactional email at any time:
- From your Account Dashboard → Email Preferences, where you can toggle each category individually or unsubscribe from everything at once.
- By clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any UFCR email.
- By emailing events@ufcr.online with the subject "Unsubscribe."
Account & security messages cannot be turned off, because you need them to use your account. If you don't want those either, delete your account (Section 6).
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an UFCR Arcade account. If you're under 13, please do not create an account; you can still play any game without signing in.
6. Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account and all associated gameplay data at any time from the Account Dashboard. Deletion is irreversible and removes your scores, unlocks, saves, and meeting RSVPs.
7. Where the data lives
Account data is stored with Supabase, our backend provider. Supabase processes the data on our behalf in their hosted Postgres infrastructure.
8. Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms — for example, adding a new category of email — we will email you and prompt you to re-accept before the change takes effect. The current version of these terms is "v1."
